I stopped using screen "protectors" a few years ago. The thin film type were the only ones I knew, and they seemed pointless. But there was always a concern in the back of my mind that my keys or something similar would scratch my screen. So when I ordered a case for my new phone, I added these just to get free shipping. They seemed a little expensive until I opened the box. These things are solid, and for the first time ever, I felt like a screen protector was worth installing. And despite being rigid, I've had no trouble with touch sensitivity. I'm not someone who changes phones often, but when I do, these will definitely be a priority.
Regarding Installation: My story did not start out well. Each pack has two protectors, and despite my best efforts, both ended up in the garbage. The guide frame, while super helpful, also traps debris along the edges. The protectors themselves are incredibly sticky, almost to the point of being dust magnets. And the rigidity of the protectors, which is their best strength, is also their biggest weakness during installation. If you need to pull back a corner to remove dust, you have very little room to work with before the entire protector pops off. The other major downside of doing this is it's incredibly difficult, or impossible in my case, to get the protector to stick completely when reapplied.
However, I replied to Caudabe's automated email asking about my purchase. I told them about my frustrating experience, but that I didn't want to write a negative review. They immediately sent me a new pack even though I hadn't asked for any type of replacement or refund. Admittedly, I was afraid of messing up the installation process two more times, but I'm happy to report that the first protector from the new pack installed perfectly. And while my experience with customer service prompted me to write this review and one for the Paragon case, it did not influence what I think about the quality of the products, which have both been excellent.
