I'm still rocking an 8 Plus, and needed another case. I'd tried bulkier cases over the years, including leather and silicon. But I don't work in an outdoor or extreme environment, and wanted to get as thin as possible without risking slippery or casual drops. This Veil is perfect. Thin enough to be minimalistic, textured enough that it remains grippy even with wet or damp hands. Dig the little 'lip' that protects the camera lens.
Bottom line is the phone remains about as thin as possible while not being naked. Why Apple and competitors still insist on making the exterior slippery smooth is beyond me - if you're going to make 15 iterations, couldn't you try textured at least once?
Until that happens, this Veil case is what I'll be rocking and what I'll pick up when I eventually upgrade away from this ancient 8 Plus. It's the perfect combination between **** and cute, as they say.
